Hardware & Networking Manager

Job Purpose:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Firewall & Security Management

• Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise firewalls.
• Ensure firewall rules and policies are up to date for maximum security.
• Maintain backup of firewall configurations and monitor threats.
• Implement and maintain endpoint security and threat prevention.

2. Cybersecurity

• Develop and enforce IT security policies and practices.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
• Monitor and mitigate potential cyber threats, malware, phishing, and data breaches.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards (ISO, GDPR, etc. as applicable).

3. Networking (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi)

• Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, and access points.
• Monitor bandwidth utilization, uptime, and network performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues across departments and branches.
• Optimize network efficiency and implement redundancy measures.

4. Hardware & System Management

• Configure and assemble desktop systems, laptops, and servers.
• Manage installation and troubleshooting of OS (Windows/Linux) and applications.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, AMC, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure smooth functioning of printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.

5. Surveillance & Access Systems

• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV, IP cameras, and video surveillance systems.
• Manage biometric systems, access points, and authentication tools.
• Ensure data recording, storage, and retrieval for compliance and security purposes.

6. Active Directory & User Management

• Manage Active Directory (AD) for user accounts, group policies, and security.
• Implement role-based access control, password policies, and domain administration.
• Monitor login activities and ensure data access compliance.

7. Server Administration

• Administer Windows Server and Linux Server environments.
• Manage user access, file sharing, and application hosting.
• Implement patch management, backup, and disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure uptime and performance of critical IT infrastructure.

8. Storage & Backup Systems

• Manage Network Attached Storage (NAS) and servers for data storage.
• Implement data backup strategies (onsite/offsite/cloud).
• Ensure recovery solutions for business continuity.
• Regularly test backup and restore procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and system administration.
• Relevant certifications preferred: CCNA/CCNP, MCSE, RHCE, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, switches, routers, firewalls).
• Expertise in firewall configuration, cybersecurity, and penetration testing.
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers and Active Directory.
• Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, system assembly, and OS installation.
• Experience in CCTV, biometric, and access point configuration.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle IT infrastructure for multi-location environment.
• Team management and vendor coordination skills.
