Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on PCB layout & testing
  • Manage hardware projects from concept to production
  • Design, develop & test embedded systems using analog & mixed signal design techniques
  • Job Purpose:
  • To lead the hardware design and development of electrical and electronic components, including PCB design, circuit design, and validation. The role involves ensuring EMI/EMS compliance and developing hardware for products such as switches, lighting systems, and control modules.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead hardware design and development activities for new and existing products.
  • Design and review PCB layouts, schematics, and electrical circuits for various applications.
  • Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC standards during hardware design and validation phases.
  • Work on switches, lighting modules, sensors, and electronic control units (ECUs).
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, and testing teams to achieve optimal product integration.
  • Interface with suppliers for component selection and technical evaluation.
  • Conduct DFMEA, design validation, and reliability testing for hardware components.
  • Drive continuous improvement in hardware design processes and standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in PCB design tools and circuit design methodologies.
  • Prepare and review hardware documentation, test reports, and technical drawings.
  • Qualifications and Experience:
  • B.E./B.Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
  • 8–15 years of experience in hardware design and development.
  • Strong knowledge of PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, KiCad).
  • Hands-on experience in EMI/EMS testing and mitigation techniques.
  • Experience in analog and digital circuit design, power supply design, and signal integrity.
  • Exposure to automotive or industrial electronics (preferable if worked on lighting or switch systems).
  • Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 7637, CISPR 25, IEC 61000).
