Role & responsibilities

Mission description

Within the Avionics Engineering Direction of Safran Electronics and Defense, you are responsible for developing primarily digital electronic boards in harsh environments (thermal, vibration, EMI). These boards are embedded in avionics computers in compliance with aeronautical certification requirements.

Your tasks may cover the entire V-cycle, from preliminary studies to define electronic architectures to integration, verification, and production.

Job responsibilities:

You are responsible for:

• the technical electronic choices you propose,
• performing electrical simulation, part stress analysis, laboratory tests, boards debugging,
• writing and performing verification procedures according to the boards requirements specification,
• the compliance of your work to the upper level requirements,
• adhering to costs and deadlines,
• writing documents, test reports, definition, and justification files,
• considering cost-effective design and producibility constraints (with the support of industrialization),
• complying with working methodologies and aeronautical regulations (DO-254, AMC20).

Candidate profile:

With a Masters degree education specializing in electronics, you have significative experience in designing digital electronic boards (including micro-controller, FPGA, digital memories, Ethernet, etc). You can calculate by yourself the key electrical parameters of simple and complex digital circuits (to define logic gates, PLL, crystal oscillators, DDR, SRAM, NOR, NAND memories, high speed bus configuration, etc). You know how to build an efficient PCB layout compatible with severe environments. You already have performed laboratory tests, bring-up and debugging operations on boards with standard test equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, JTAG probes, signal generator,). You are aware of electrical safety standards.
