As a Mechanical Technician in the Food Industry based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), you will play a crucial role in supporting the operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment used in food processing and packaging plants. Your responsibilities will include performing routine preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of food processing and packaging machinery, troubleshooting mechanical faults, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety standards. Additionally, you will be involved in equipment installation, alignment, calibration, and mechanical testing to ensure efficient and safe operations. You should have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in the food or beverage manufacturing sector. Your strong understanding of food-grade machinery, mechanical maintenance practices, and compliance with HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations will be essential for success in this role. Familiarity with utility systems such as steam, compressed air, and chilled water will be an advantage. Your proactive attitude towards safety and cleanliness, along with your ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, and equipment manuals, will be critical. You should also be willing to work in shifts and under pressure in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred qualifications include experience working with international food brands, knowledge of TPM or lean manufacturing principles, and basic welding, machining, or fabrication skills. Proficiency in spoken or written Arabic is a plus. In addition to technical skills, you should possess excellent time management and team collaboration abilities. Your role will involve working closely with production and quality departments to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
