Guidewire Lead Developer

Role & responsibilities

Lead design, development, and implementation activities across Guidewire PolicyCenter and

ClaimCenter platforms

• Configure key components including data model, PCF screens, validation rules, underwriting

issues, and form patterns.

• Build and maintain integrations using SOAP/REST web services, batch processes, and

messaging frameworks.

• Write and debug Gosu scripts and develop Java-based enhancements as needed.
• Implement and maintain Rules Engine logic, workflows, and custom business rules.
• Support performance tuning and optimization of the application for reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and DevOps engineers within an

Agile framework.

• Troubleshoot production issues including GuideLink issues, print regeneration, and data

change API requests.

• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce coding standards.
• Contribute to Guidewire Marketplace implementations and extensions, particularly for

commercial lines (Auto, Umbrella, BOP, CPP, Workers Compensation, etc.).

Preferred candidate profile

• Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter
• Strong in Configuration: Data model, PCF, Validations, Underwriting Issues, Form Patterns
• Strong in Integration: Web Services (SOAP/REST), Messaging, Batch Jobs
• Proficient in Gosu scripting, Java, and XML
• Experience working with relational databases (SQL, PL/SQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, AWS S3 is

a plus)

• Familiarity with Guidewire Rules Engine, Workflow, and application lifecycle
• Working knowledge of DevOps tools: Jenkins, Git
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and system analysis skills
