Group Manager Software Control & Management

Role Overview: You will be joining the Electromobility organization, responsible for the complete development lifecycle of electric powertrains within the Volvo Group. As the Group Manager for SW Control and Management, you will lead a talented team of Software engineers to develop Software and functions that advance Electromobility. Your role will involve collaborating closely with System engineers, Software developers, Test engineers, Project leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and inspire the team through strategic focus and reasoning, challenging them to exceed expectations - Build and develop the team's capabilities to deliver various programs within Electromobility - Participate in relevant decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency - Manage competence development and performance for team members, fostering employee growth and success - Balance capacity, workload, budgeting, and infrastructure to impact the team positively - Excel in stakeholder management, system thinking, and strategic planning Qualifications Required: - Bachelor or Masters in electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering - Minimum 12 years of experience in Software development in the automotive industry, preferably in the electric mobility domain - Strong leadership skills with a passion for fostering people development and team growth - Results-oriented with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation - Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills - Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational considerations Additional Details: The work location for this role is in Bangalore at the Group Trucks Technology facility.
