Group Director, Business Controls Utility

As the Group Director Controls Utility at LSEG, your role is crucial in enabling effective controls and leading the implementation of a robust risk and control framework within the business. Reporting to the COO Group Leader of Operational Risk and Anti-Financial Crime, you will coordinate all risk and control activities across COO to ensure processes are well-documented, effective, and compliant. Your responsibilities include promoting a strong risk culture, ensuring robust business processes, designing effective controls, maintaining a control inventory, developing local risk processes, managing risk exposures, and leading risk assessments. Key Responsibilities: - Establish and promote a strong risk culture, including developing risk awareness initiatives and training - Ensure robust business processes with clear ownership and well-documented operating procedures - Design and operate effective controls, review and test periodically - Maintain a complete control inventory and oversee risk-based control testing - Develop local first-line risk processes, escalate and track remediation activities - Establish limit frameworks and Key Risk Indicators aligned with Group Risk Appetite - Manage local governance structures for risk-based decision-making - Lead the 1LOD risk assessment and maintain the Risk and Control Assessment Qualifications and Experience: - Extensive experience in building BCO in the financial services industry - Proven track record in developing and implementing successful BCO strategies - Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills - Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills Skills and Key Competencies: - Strategic Thinking - Regulatory Knowledge - Risk Assessment - Policy Development - Investigative Skills - Leadership - Communication - Collaboration Join LSEG, a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider, known for driving financial stability and empowering economies.
