Graphic Designer & Video Editor

A Graphic Designer cum Video Editor is a creative professional who handles both visual design and video content creation. They are responsible for producing high-quality designs and videos that align with brand guidelines and effectively communicate the desired message across digital, print, and video platforms.

This dual role is ideal for individuals who can balance static design with dynamic video editing to support marketing, branding, advertising, and content creation needs.

Key Responsibilities:Graphic Design:

• Design marketing materials such as banners, brochures, posters, social media creatives, and advertisements.
• Develop visual assets for websites, email campaigns, and product packaging.
• Create branding elements including logos, icons, and presentations.
• Collaborate with marketing and content teams to understand visual requirements.

Video Editing:

• Edit raw video footage into polished final content.
• Add sound effects, voiceovers, subtitles, transitions, and motion graphics.
• Create short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikToks) as well as long-form content (YouTube videos, presentations).
• Sync video with music, dialogue, and graphics.
• Maintain organized video and design asset libraries.

Skills Required:

• Strong creativity and a good eye for design and storytelling.
• Understanding of composition, color theory, typography, and layout.
• Knowledge of video production techniques and post-production workflow.
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Commonly Required Software:Design Software:

• Adobe Photoshop – Image editing, retouching, social media creatives.
• Adobe Illustrator – Vector graphics, logos, illustrations.
• Adobe InDesign – Layout design for print and digital publishing.
• Figma or Sketch – UI/UX and web interface design.

Video Editing Software:

• Adobe Premiere Pro – Professional video editing.
• Adobe After Effects – Motion graphics and visual effects.
• Final Cut Pro – Video editing (commonly on Mac).
• DaVinci Resolve – Advanced color grading and editing.
• Adobe Audition – Audio editing and sound design.

Optional / Additional Tools (Good to Know):

• Canva – Quick and simple design work.
• CapCut / InShot / Filmora – For fast social media video editing.
• Blender / Cinema 4D – (For 3D design and motion, if required).
