Graphic Design Executive Retail & Festive Experience

Role Overview -

You will translate brand philosophy into physical, tactile systems boxes, materials, inserts, and festive packaging workflows ensuring every customer interaction feels thoughtful, cohesive, and scalable.

This is a hands-on execution role with strong exposure to brand thinking, materials, vendors, and real-world constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

(A) Packaging & Unboxing System Design (Primary Responsibility)

• Design retail packaging keylines across SKUs in line with brand guidelines.
• Develop scalable packaging systems (box structures, inner layers, inserts) rather than one-off designs.
• Own the unboxing experience flow from outer box to inner layers to product reveal.
• Ensure packaging balances aesthetics, protection, cost, and warehouse feasibility.

(B) Material, Detail & Finish Curation

• Select and standardize materials such as: Papers, boards, fabrics, ribbons, wraps, inserts
• Define finishes including: Foiling, embossing, debossing, inks, textures
• Ensure all material choices reflect brand's tone - timeless, understated, rooted, and premium.
• Maintain consistency across retail, festive, wedding, and gifting formats.

(C) Brand Translation & Experience Thinking

• Translate brand philosophy into clear packaging rules and experience cues. Help define:
• What feels on-brand vs off-brand in physical experiences
• Where restraint is more powerful than decoration
• Collaborate with brand and content teams to ensure message sequencing across packaging touchpoints (box, card, tag, insert).

(D) Festive & Gifting Execution ( Diwali, Weddings, Seasonal Peaks ) Design festive packaging elements that are:

• Scalable
• Warehouse-friendly
• Time-efficient during high-volume periods
• Create festive inserts, tags, stickers, and packaging variations without disrupting core systems.
• Support wedding curations and custom gifting projects with a focus on elegance and repeatability.

(E) Vendor Coordination & Production Execution

• Prepare print-ready artworks and mockups for packaging and inserts.
• Coordinate with packaging, printing, and material vendors for sampling and production.
• Assist in quality checks for materials, finishes, colors, and final outputs.
• Maintain organized design files, specs, and vendor-ready assets.

(F) Store & Retail Support

• Support in-store packaging requirements and standardization.
• Help define how packaging is assembled and presented at retail counters.
• Ensure consistency between online orders and in-store packaging experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator (mandatory).
• Experience in packaging design and print production is essential
• Ability to think in systems and workflows, not just visuals.
• Sensitivity to materials, finishes, and tactile experiences.
• Comfortable working closely with vendors and production teams.
• Strong attention to detail and execution discipline.
