Grafana Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Grafana Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Grafana dashboards, visualizations, and monitoring solutions. You will work closely with our DevOps, data engineering, and software teams to provide real-time insights into our infrastructure, applications, and data. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop Grafana dashboards to visualize and monitor key metrics across various systems. Integrate Grafana with different data sources (Prometheus, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, MySQL, etc.) to create meaningful visualizations. Troubleshoot issues related to Grafana dashboards, data sources, and alerting configurations. Collaborate with teams to define metrics and improve data collection strategies. Customize Grafana panels, plugins, and templates as per requirements. Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms using Grafana to track system performance and identify anomalies. Maintain Grafana configurations and provide support for ongoing development and troubleshooting. Continuously optimize Grafana dashboards for performance and ease of use. Document best practices and processes related to Grafana dashboard development. Required Skills and Qualifications: 4-8 years of experience working with Grafana for dashboard development and data visualization. Strong understanding of time-series databases like Prometheus, InfluxDB, or similar. Experience integrating Grafana with various data sources such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, etc. Proficiency in writing SQL queries for extracting and visualizing data. Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack. Knowledge of configuring and customizing Grafana dashboards, panels, and alerts. Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, or similar) for automating tasks and integrations. Basic understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure monitoring. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve issues in Grafana implementations. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud-native architectures, and distributed systems.
