Job Summary:

The Graduate Engineering Trainee – Electrical & Controls will undergo structured training and hands-on experience in electrical design, control systems, and automation. The trainee will support senior engineers in executing engineering tasks related to control panel design, PLC/HMI programming, electrical schematics, and instrumentation selection. This role is designed to build foundational technical skills, project understanding, and cross-functional collaboration for a future career in Electrical & Controls Engineering.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of electrical schematics, panel GA, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
Support in the design and development of control panels and selection of electrical components as per project requirements.
Learn and contribute to PLC and HMI programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
Assist in reviewing project documents like P&IDs, control philosophies, I/O lists, and client specifications.
Participate in internal design reviews and cross-functional meetings.
Support the team in panel testing, FAT, and troubleshooting activities.
Document and maintain design records, BOMs, and wiring schedules.
Learn and follow engineering standards, safety practices, and quality procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering (Fresh Graduate or 1 year experience).
Basic understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, and industrial automation.
Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD tools is a plus.
Exposure to PLC/HMI systems (academic projects or internships preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
