Government Liaison & Public Relations Officer (PRO)

Key Responsibilities:

Government Relations & Advocacy

· Build and maintain strong relationships with key ministries, including:

o PMO

o Ministry of Steel

o Ministry of Commerce

o Other related government departments

· Track and analyse changes in policy and regulation affecting the steel industry

· Advise senior leadership (including MD and MEO) on relevant government matters

· Represent the company in policy discussions, consultations, and regulatory meetings

· Liaise with embassies and foreign diplomats for trade and international affairs

Key Qualifications:

Experience:

· 10–15 years of relevant experience

· Prior experience as a Senior Bureaucrat with connection/exposure of multiple ministries”, especially those with experience in the steel industry

· Strong connections in relevant ministries and government bodies

· Experience in policy advocacy, trade, and steel sector regulations

Skills:

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building

· Deep understanding of Indian government and policy-making processes

· Ability to handle sensitive and high-level discussions with integrity

· Skilled in strategic thinking and problem-solving

· Strong diplomatic presence and professional demeanour

• Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in communications, Public Relations is preferred.
