Job Description

Role & responsibilities

* Conduct regular and surprise audits of gold loans, pledged ornaments, and vault stock.

• Verify gold purity, weight, and valuation as per company standards.
• Cross-check all loan-related documents and ensure data accuracy in the system.
• Identify discrepancies or potential fraud and report findings to the audit manager.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, RBI norms, and audit procedures.
• Coordinate with branch managers and staff for audit rectifications.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings with corrective action suggestions.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure secure handling of gold assets.

Preferred candidate profile

* Gold purity testing and valuation

Knowledge of Karat meter / XRF machine operations
Experience in gold loan or jewellery industry audits
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Knowledge of audit procedures and compliance standards
MS Excel and audit report preparation
Communication and coordination skills
Willingness to travel frequently
