Job Description

Role Overview: As the Global Technical Learning & Development Manager for High Voltage Products at Hitachi Energy, your primary responsibility is to define the strategy and oversee the implementation of technical training programs globally. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our teams possess the necessary technical skills and knowledge to enhance operational excellence, drive innovation, and meet customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute a global technical training strategy aligned with business goals. - Collaborate with regional and functional leaders to identify global and regional training needs and priorities. - Lead a team of regional training specialists and/or external vendors. - Design and deliver scalable technical training programs for the technical community through various formats (in-person, virtual, and hybrid). - Create learning paths for different technical roles, including onboarding, upskilling, and certification. - Ensure that training content is up-to-date, engaging, and compliant with industry standards. - Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure training effectiveness and impact. - Conduct regular assessments and feedback loops to enhance training programs. - Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory and safety standards. - Utilize learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and emerging technologies to facilitate training. - Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. - Ensure consistency and localization of training programs across different regions. - Manage cross-functional projects and global rollouts of training initiatives. - Harmonize training tools and content across various regions. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Education, HR, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). - Demonstrated success in delivering technical training solutions, ideally in a global or multi-site setting. - Proven expertise in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training delivery. - Strong project management skills and ability to engage stakeholders effectively. - Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness. - Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning tools. - Willingness to travel as needed.
