Global Corporate Controller - Pulses Vertical

As the Global Corporate Controller for the Pulses Vertical of a leading global business group in the agricultural sector, your primary responsibility will be overseeing financial consolidation, reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes across various countries. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial consolidation, optimizing tax structures, managing audits, and leading a team of regional finance managers. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for Pulses entities globally, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local reporting standards - Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminate intercompany transactions for group reporting - Develop and enhance financial reporting systems for accuracy and transparency - Lead the preparation and coordination of global audits for Canadian and international operations - Act as the primary liaison with external auditors and implement internal controls for clean audit opinions - Oversee Canadian corporate tax compliance and manage international tax filings with local advisors - Partner with global tax advisors to ensure efficient cross-border tax structures and identify tax efficiency opportunities - Lead and mentor a team of regional finance managers/controllers and establish global accounting policies and procedures - Support special projects such as re-domiciliation efforts, business restructurings, and system implementations or upgrades as needed Qualification Required: - Chartered Accountant with 10-15 years of financial leadership experience, including 5+ years in a Controller or Group Consolidation role in a multinational environment - Prior Audit experience is a must - Deep expertise in IFRS, Canadian corporate tax, and multi-currency consolidations - Proven experience in managing audits across multiple jurisdictions - Strong knowledge of transfer pricing, foreign affiliate reporting (T1134), and cross-border tax compliance - Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills - Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders globally,
