Role & responsibilities 1. Production Support Assist in setting up and operating pressure die casting machines under supervision. Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to cycle time, productivity, and quality norms. Report machine downtime, abnormalities, and tool/machine conditions to the line supervisor. 2. Process Understanding Learn and understand die casting parameters such as temperature, injection pressure, shot velocity, and cooling time. Participate in process audits and quality checks to understand product standards and specifications. Understand process documentation such as control plans, work instructions, and check sheets. 3. Quality & Safety Compliance Support root cause analysis of casting defects (porosity, cold shut, short filling, etc.) and assist in implementing corrective actions. Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and housekeeping norms on the shopfloor. Assist in conducting first-piece inspection and ensuring quality at source. 4. Maintenance Coordination Learn basics of machine maintenance (preventive & breakdown) in collaboration with the maintenance team. Support tool cleaning and upkeep activities under the guidance of tool room and maintenance personnel. 5. Continuous Improvement Contribute to 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives on the production line. Participate in problem-solving activities and quality improvement teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of utilities, minimizing downtime, and driving preventive maintenance initiatives across the facility. Key Responsibilities: Utility Maintenance & Operations: Manage and maintain utility systems including HVAC, compressed air, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, generators, and other plant support systems. Plant Maintenance Oversight: Supervise overall plant maintenance activities to ensure seamless equipment functionality, safety compliance, and minimal production disruption.
