Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Evaluate and approve new suppliers through audits, capability assessments, and documentation review.
Monitor supplier performance using quality metrics such as PPM, delivery compliance, and corrective actions.
Review and validate PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and APQP documentation for supplied components.
Conduct incoming inspections to ensure materials and components meet specifications and standards.
Coordinate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for supplier-related quality issues.
Maintain supplier quality records, reports, and performance scorecards for continuous monitoring.
Develop and implement supplier improvement plans and track effectiveness of corrective actions.
Ensure suppliers comply with IATF 16949 and customer-specific quality requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Purchase, Production, NPD) for supplier development and localization projects.
Provide technical guidance and training to suppliers on quality tools like FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
