GIS Analyst/Senior GIS Analyst

The ideal candidate for this role should have a Bachelor's/Masters degree in Geomatics, remote sensing, GIS, agriculture, geography, or earth science. They should possess expertise in GIS and remote sensing software, as well as knowledge of GIS data collection and both quantitative and qualitative data analysis. A strong understanding of spatial data and algorithms is essential for this position. Additionally, experience in crop mapping using remote sensing techniques would be advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication skills are also required. The candidate should have 0 to 5 years of experience in core GIS and remote sensing projects. As a GIS/Remote Sensing Specialist, your responsibilities will include digitization, editing, and spatial data analysis. You will be required to capture on-the-ground information based on provided plans and digital sources, and conduct various analyses on satellite data. Using GIS software, you will capture maps and related data to accurately calculate the area of various features. Your role will also involve employing image processing techniques such as image classification and GIS analysis to extract meaningful information in alignment with project requirements. Maintaining the necessary database for GIS data storage and collaborating with colleagues to ensure map accuracy and compliance with regional standards are also key responsibilities.
