Job Overview: We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our team at Vidyashilp School. The ideal candidate will be a B.Ed graduate with a strong understanding of Geography concepts and a commitment to providing quality education. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and guiding students to excel in Geography as part of the ICSE curriculum. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons for higher school students in line with the ICSE curriculum. Develop and implement lesson plans, ensuring coverage of all required topics and skills. Assess student progress through assignments, projects, tests, and exams. Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment that encourages student participation. Provide individualized support and guidance to students as needed. Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents. Organize and facilitate extracurricular activities related to Geography (field trips, projects, etc.). Stay updated on the latest developments in the field of Geography and teaching methodologies. Work collaboratively with other teachers to enhance the academic environment of the school. Ensure a safe and respectful classroom environment where students feel comfortable expressing ideas and asking questions. Required Qualifications and Skills: B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree from a recognized institution (Mandatory). A degree in Geography or a related field. Previous experience in teaching Geography at the higher school level (ICSE curriculum) is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for Geography and the ability to inspire and motivate students. Patience, dedication, and a commitment to student success. Ability to use various teaching methods and technology to enhance learning. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
