General Manager Production

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Strategic Management:

• Oversee all plant operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize production while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance operational excellence.

2. Production & Operations Management:

• Ensure manufacturing processes run smoothly, meeting production targets and deadlines.
• Optimize resource utilization (raw materials, labor, and equipment) to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor batch production, process validation, and technology transfer activities.
• Implement best practices in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies like USFDA, WHO, EUGMP, and ICH guidelines.

3. Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to cGMP, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams to maintain product integrity.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
• Address deviations, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and implement risk mitigation plans.

5. Engineering & Maintenance:

• Oversee maintenance of plant equipment, utilities, and facilities to ensure minimal downtime.
• Ensure the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Collaborate with the engineering team for process automation, upgradation, and expansion projects.

. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE):

• Implement and monitor occupational health and safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
• Promote environmental sustainability by managing waste disposal, pollution control, and energy efficiency programs.
• Conduct employee training programs on safety, GMP, and process improvements.

Key Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of API manufacturing processes, GMP, and regulatory guidelines.
• Leadership and people management skills.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
