General Manager -Heat Treatment ( Steel)

You will be working in the Heat Treatment Department at the largest manufacturer of Bulk Conveying Chains and Accessories in India. Your role will involve monitoring various heat treatment processes such as carburizing, volume hardening, tempering, normalizing, annealing, induction hardening, and quenching. You will be responsible for maintaining process and output parameters like temperature, cycle time, bath concentration, hardness, strength, and microstructure. Additionally, you will guide operators and technicians, maintain production records, and ensure compliance with safety norms. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor various heat treatment processes and maintain process parameters - Guide operators and technicians in completing assigned tasks - Maintain production records and track material movement and manpower productivity - Ensure compliance with safety and housekeeping norms in the Heat Treatment Department - Plan and execute production schedules, conduct preventive maintenance, and handle loading/unloading of materials in furnaces - Familiarity with different types of furnaces, metallurgical properties of materials, and inspection methods for finished goods - Knowledge of Excel, Scada, and Data Logger for data management - Follow safety and cleanliness parameters as per company standards Qualifications Required: - Diploma or BE in Metallurgical Engineering - 10-12 years of experience in Heat Treatment of Steel In addition to the responsibilities, you will be eligible for benefits such as cell phone reimbursement, leave encashment, life insurance, paid sick time, paid time off, and yearly bonus.
