Designation : General Manager Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance

Purpose of the Job :

Key Responsibilities :

Break down Maintenance

• Ensure adherence to MTTR and MTBF targets and review Breakdown analysis and fault identification of all electrical equipment & machineries
• Carry out planning & execution of Electrical utility maintenance (AMC and spare management) by making plan on monthly basis and review on daily basis for execution, and check post completion of maintenance activity
• Carry out review and analysis of daily log sheet and other key maintenance parameters such as equipment healthiness, downtime etc. with reasons of deviation and accordingly take necessary corrective action for Electrical related issues
• Prepare and support to modify daily check sheet for operator check point and check and verify the check sheet of previous day and take action on pending points
• Checking of machines via Gemba (field inspection) and monitor machine physical conditions along with team.
• Repair and replacement of parts by reviewing assessing reparability condition of replaced parts, and preparing justifications if replacement is needed

Preventive Maintenance

• Formulate & plan activities to minimize downtime as per zero breakdown plan and deploy needed manpower
• Ensure availability of equipment as per plan by ensuring preventive and predictive maintenance checklist, history card, breakdown analysis, spare planning etc.
• Review of completions and adherence of PM Activity Pending points
• Prepare schedule and ensure adherence for periodic and preventive maintenance
• Arrange spare parts for periodic /Predictive Maintenance and deploy needed manpower
• Verify the machines according to check sheet and note pending points

Spare Part Management

• Define critical spares, update as per addition of equipment and finalize the yearly budget based on the updated equipment & spare master list. Arrive at Routine consumable level-minimum maximum level in the store and order as per requirement
• Review the purchase requisition based on requirement based on Breakdown/Preventive or general need
• Provide inputs for technical negotiations with vendors for procurement

• Ensure nil lost time accidents through robust implementation of safety guidelines
• Drive a culture promoting focus on environment, health and safety across the organization
• Strengthen employee engagement levels in operations team building a positive working climate for all team members

Manufacturing Excellence

• Overall responsibility of all Mechanical Maintenance performance with respect to MTTR (Mean Time To Repair, is the time it takes to run a repair after the occurrence of the failure. That is, it is the time spent during the intervention in each process)., MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures, is a metric that concerns the average time elapsed between a failure and the next time it occurs.), OEE (Overall Equipment effectiveness) & other critical maintenance parameters
• Regular review of equipment utilisation, quality, production metrics & action planning with Process & other maintenance team to resolve any deviation
• Execution of internal & external projects, material & manpower management, plant supervision & resolution of safety related issues & conflicts in the plant
• Down time analysis to identify & pinpoint the root cause
• Coordinate with 3rd Party for all plant related matters as & when required for Planned improvement & technology upgradation and calibration.
• Finalize the Work procedure or SOP and insure the adherence of the same in all areas of plant.
• Plan & finalize the annual/ Quarterly department budget for Spares & consumables, AMC, 3rd Party jobs, Manpower Etc
