The General Manager Civil Projects

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Strategy

  • Develop and implement project management strategies and frameworks.
  • Plan project scopes, objectives, resources, and timelines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the development of project budgets and manage resources accordingly.
  • Leadership & Team Management

    :
  • Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, including project managers, engineers, and support staff.
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the project teams.
  • Identify training and development needs and provide coaching to enhance team performance.

    Stakeholder Management

    :
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, senior management, contractors, and vendors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring regular communication on project progress, risks, and opportunities.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to optimize project costs and timelines.
  • Project Execution & Quality Assurance

    :
  • Oversee the implementation of projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress, including budget adherence, schedule, and scope.
  • Conduct regular project reviews, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Risk Management

    :
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts on project outcomes.
  • Implement robust risk management practices and ensure contingency plans are in place for critical projects.
  • Financial Management

    :
  • Manage project budgets and ensure projects are delivered within approved financial parameters.
  • Track expenses, optimize resource allocation, and control costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement

    :
  • Drive process improvements in project management practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement lessons learned and best practices from previous projects to continuously improve project delivery.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation in project management.
