GCP Data Engineer

Description

We are seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building data pipelines and working with cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform. You will play a crucial role in managing our data infrastructure and ensuring data accessibility for analytics and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using tools like Dataflow, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver appropriate data solutions.
• Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into GCP.
• Optimize and monitor data processing workflows to ensure efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by performing data validation and cleansing.
• Work with cloud security best practices to manage access and data protection.
• Document data architecture and processes for future reference and compliance.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3-9 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
• Experience with SQL and programming languages such as Python
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and data warehousing principles.
• Knowledge of ETL tools and frameworks.
• Understanding of cloud security and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
