As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, adjusting, and repairing electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems used in Gas Compressor and Processing plants. Your duties will include inspecting meters, indicators, and gauges to detect abnormal fluctuations, testing the accuracy of various instruments, and locating defective components in the system using test equipment. You will be required to remove defective instruments from the system, decontaminate, disassemble, and clean instruments, and replace defective parts using hand tools. Additionally, you will need to reassemble instruments, replace them in the system, lubricate instruments, and replace defective wiring and tubing. It will be your responsibility to calibrate readings on instruments according to standards, adjust phasing, and align stages to ensure the accuracy of recording and indicating functions. Furthermore, you will be expected to record calibrations made, parts and components used, and maintain an inventory of parts on hand. You will also be involved in preparing schematic drawings, sketches, and reports to reflect changes or alterations made in instruments, circuits, and systems.
