FX - Crowd (DNEG Animation)

As a Crowd TD, you will be responsible for producing complex crowd shots using vignette and simulation techniques. You will work under the direction of the Creature Supervisor and DFX Supervisors to develop a specific look, movement, and style that aligns with the Creative Goals and vision of the VFX Supervisor and Director. Your main tasks will involve successfully delivering simulations by utilizing various 3D Assets from different departments, primarily using Houdini and Maya along with custom pipeline tools to create photorealistic crowd simulations. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize crowd simulation software such as Houdini (Preferably Massive, Golaem, or related software programs) - Produce crowd simulations with attention to details, timing, and understanding of physical simulation techniques in computer graphics - Address pipeline issues and demonstrate problem-solving skills - Maintain a balance between quality and time constraints - Exhibit excellent artistic and technical skills Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in crowd simulation software - Strong understanding of techniques and technologies related to physical simulation in computer graphics - Familiarity with pipeline problem-solving - Ability to balance quality and time constraints - Proficiency in Houdini, Massive, and Maya or equivalent 3D software - Experience in live-action VFX Crowd work is a plus - Programming or scripting skills (e.g., MEL, Python, Hscript, VEX) are desirable - Compositing experience preferred - Good general TD background - Strong understanding of Linux/Unix based operating systems If you are an organized, pro-active team player with a self-starter attitude, good communication skills, and a positive approach towards work, this role is for you.
