Job Description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Furniture Designer to lead the design, development, and prototyping of high-quality wooden furniture products. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of materials, production techniques, cost estimations, and trends in both residential and commercial furniture design. Role & responsibilities Oversee the end-to-end design process of wooden furniture products, from concept to prototype. Design and develop furniture for residential, office, and commercial useincluding sofas, beds, armchairs, tables, promotional units, and custom-made items. Craft bespoke furniture pieces tailored to client specifications and functional requirements. Create standardized catalogues of furniture offerings, clearly defining measurements, materials, and finishes. Select and integrate suitable materials such as wood, fabric, and metals, with a focus on durability and aesthetics. Prepare accurate costing and material estimates for all proposed designs. Read, interpret, and prepare technical drawings and blueprints for manufacturing. Collaborate with clients, interior designers, and cross-functional teams to translate ideas into tangible designs. Stay up to date with contemporary furniture trends and innovations. Apply knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly design practices when selecting materials and techniques. Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modeling tools Familiarity with eco-friendly materials and sustainable manufacturing practices. Strong understanding of ergonomics, functionality, and aesthetic appeal in furniture. Understanding of manufacturing constraints and production processes.
