FURNITURE DESIGNER

Job Title: Furniture Designer

Function: Furniture Designing Department: Design

Location:Hyderabad Reporting to: HOD

Conceptualization: The furniture designer will be responsible for conceptualizing the design of the furniture, by creating a design brief, researching current trends, and developing sketches and models to bring their ideas to life.

Inspirational: Take inspiration from well designed and popular furniture seen online and offline at fairs, expos, social media etc and incorporate into their design using their creativity.

Create: Create unique designs, as per briefing by colleague’s/sales team depending on scalability of furniture, in line with the company's design language.

Sketches: Create sketch, blueprint and 3D models of furniture options.

Execution drawings: Creating engineering drawings for execution.

Material selection: Select materials that are durable and cost effective.

Collaborate: Work with manufacturers and other professionals to ensure that their creation/design can be manufactured and assembled efficiently.

Testing: Visit vendors/manufacturers for testing prototypes and ensure that they are functional, comfortable, and made as per design/specs.

Trends: Keeping up with trends in furniture design and incorporating new techniques and materials into their works.

Explore: taking initiative to visit fairs and various outlets to explore new materials and designs.

Functionality and usability: Ensure that the furniture design is functional with the right ergonomics and proportions.

Multitask: Managing multiple projects simultaneously as and when required.

Education & Experience

Min Graduate / Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Furniture Designing.

2+ Yrs of Proven experience in Furniture Designing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
