Della Luxury Products is one of Indias leading highend luxury interior product suppliers, serving homes, offices, hotels. They have a wide range of products (indoor & outdoor furniture, lighting, decor etc.) and are vertically integrated: design manufacturing distribution.

Reporting Line

• Reports to: HOD (Head of Product Design) / CMD / Head Design (depending on level).
• Works closely with: Production / Engineering / PPC (Production Planning & Control) team / Sales & Marketing / Quality Assurance.

Location & Travel Requirements

• Based in Mumbai / Lonavala / Daman / site location depending on assignment.
• Frequent travel is required (factory visits, prototype checks, site visits).

Key Responsibilities

A Furniture Designer at Della Luxury Products might be tasked with the following:

• Concept & Design Development

  • Generate new furniture design concepts (for indoor & outdoor, luxury range) aligned to market trends & brand identity. • Create sketching, mood boards; translate creative ideas into visual form.

• Technical Detailing & Prototyping

  • Produce technical drawings, elevations, working drawings, specification sheets. • Oversee prototyping; ensure prototypes meet design, structural, aesthetic, and functional standards.

• Materials, Finish & Hardware Selection

  • Select appropriate materials, finishes, hardware to match luxury standards.

• Quality Control & Production Oversight

  • Coordinate with factories / production teams to ensure fidelity of designs during manufacturing. • Check preproduction samples, validate final product specs, inspect prototypes.

• Cost, Feasibility & Optimization

  • Work with PPC / production / engineering to solve design challenges balancing cost, manufacturability, and design integrity.

• Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Sales & Marketing to ensure designs are marketappropriate and meet client expectations. • Mentor / guide junior designers or engineers where relevant.

• Trend Research & Innovation

  • Stay updated on global and regional furniture / interior trends, materials, technologies. Incorporate them into new designs.

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Furniture Design / Industrial Design / Product Design / Interior Design (or related field).
• Typically 38 years (or more, depending on seniority) of furniture design / product development in luxury / highend furniture or bespoke design.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, etc.), rendering tools, 3D modelling, sketching. Knowledge of materials, finishes, joinery, ergonomics. Strong understanding of manufacturing & prototyping.

• Technical specifications, bills of materials, finishes / hardware lists.
• Feedback reports / revisions.

Performance Metrics

• Timeliness: meeting design and prototype deadlines.
• Quality: number of revisions / changes postprototype / defect rate.
• Cost efficiency: ability to design within cost targets.
