Finance Functional Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support end-to-end implementation of D365 F&O Finance modules
• Conduct workshops, gather business requirements, perform gap analysis, and propose solutions
• Configure core finance modules including:

• General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Budgeting, Cash & Bank Management, and Project Accounting

• Set up

  Chart of Accounts (COA)

  , accounting structures, dimensions, ledger allocation rules, and prepayment accounting
• Define logical mappings for number sequences, tax setups, bank reconciliation, depreciation methods, and project hierarchies
• Configure and manage project-related functionalities such as

  WBS, estimation/elimination, revenue recognition, timesheets

  , etc.
• Work on

  data migration

  using D365 data entities and validate migrated financial data
• Create project documentation including

  FRD, FDD, Fit-Gap Analysis, User Guides

  , and

  Training Materials

• Design and review

  functional solutions for customizations

  , reports, and third-party integrations
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless solution delivery
• Act as a SME and advisor to client stakeholders across project lifecycle phases

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 7+ years

  experience in Dynamics AX (AX 2012 R3)

• At least 3 full-cycle end-to-end implementations

  in D365 F&O or AX 2012
• Deep knowledge in

  Finance domain

  processes and ERP best practices
• Strong hands-on configuration experience across all finance modules
• Proficient in

  requirement gathering, solution presentation, and user training

• Experience with

  functional documentation and design validation

• Exposure to

  data migration tools and processes

  in D365
• Excellent communication, client interaction, and stakeholder management skills
  

Good to Have:

• Background in

  Finance & Accounting (CA / ICWA preferred)

• Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365 Finance certifications

• Prior experience working in

  onsite-offshore delivery models
