Job Description

Job Title: Functional Consultant / Business Analyst Banking Domain

Experience:

Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements, workflows, and process gaps.
Act as the liaison between business users and technical teams.
Conduct feasibility analysis ensuring business and technical alignment.

Solution Design & Recommendation

Collaborate with technical teams to design IT solutions.
Recommend improvements, customizations, and best practices.
Evaluate multiple solution options to choose the most effective one.

Process Improvement

Analyze existing business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
Lead process reengineering & optimization initiatives.
Work closely with cross-functional teams for execution.

Quality Assurance & UAT Support

Define and review test plans, test cases, and validation criteria.
Participate in functional, integration, and regression testing cycles.
Support QA teams in issue resolution.
Conduct UAT sessions, track defects, and ensure closure within timelines.

Stakeholder Communication & Coordination

Coordinate with Product Owners, Developers, QA, and Business Teams.
Support release planning, sprint ceremonies, and backlog grooming.
Prepare functional documentation, demos, and training materials.

Mentorship & Leadership

Guide junior analysts and support team skill development.
Promote “Shift Left” and Agile best practices.
Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis practices.

Contributing Responsibilities

Hands-on experience with tools like
JIRA, X-ray, Confluence, ALM
or similar project/test management tools.
Strong understanding of
SDLC
and
Agile methodologies
.
Experience with
Oracle database
, schema understanding & SQL queries.
Knowledge of
API testing
or automation tools.
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Positive attitude, team player, and willingness for long-term commitment.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Domain expertise in
Banking (e.g., SRM / CRM / Core Banking)
Experience in
SQL / data validation
Knowledge of
API testing or automation
Strong stakeholder and client management capabilities
