Job Description

Responsibilities:

Design and Development:
Designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure server-side applications and cloud-based solutions using Node.js and AWS services (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SQS, SNS).
Collaboration:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions and architectural designs.
Deployment and Automation:
Creating automated deployment scripts, implementing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild), and ensuring applications are highly available and scalable.
Monitoring and Optimization:
Monitoring application performance, security, and cost efficiency within the AWS environment and implementing optimizations.
Security and Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with security best practices, data protection policies, and relevant industry standards.
Staying Current:
Keeping up-to-date with the latest AWS services and Node.js technologies and recommending improvements to existing systems.
Code Quality:
Participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to the continuous improvement of software development processes.

Qualifications:

Strong Node.js Proficiency:
Extensive experience in developing server-side applications using Node.js, including familiarity with frameworks (e.g., Express.js, NestJS) and asynchronous programming.
AWS Expertise:
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with core AWS services relevant to application development and deployment (e.g., Lambda, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, CloudFormation).
Cloud Architecture:
Understanding of cloud-native architecture principles, microservices, and serverless computing.
Database Knowledge:
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
API Design:
Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
DevOps Principles:
Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform), and monitoring tools.
Problem-solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
Communication:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. AWS certifications are often a plus.
