Role & responsibilities Role Overview This role will bridge backend product engineering and automation scripting for production pipelines, focusing on developing scalable, efficient, and intelligent solutions for content transformation, metadata workflows, and layout automation using Adobe InDesign Server. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in designing system architecture for mission-critical publishing tools and services. Key Responsibilities Design and develop backend services using .NET Core (6.0+) and scalable RESTful APIs for publishing workflows. Lead system design efforts, including both High-Level Design (HLD) for architecture planning and Low-Level Design (LLD) for component-level specifications. Develop and maintain DCOM-based components for inter-process communication with desktop/server applications. Troubleshoot performance issues in .NET services and InDesign scripting, including memory, concurrency, and job queue optimization. Script and integrate Adobe InDesign Server workflows using JavaScript/ExtendScript to automate layout generation and proofing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including editors, designers, QA, and DevOps to release high-impact features in an agile environment. Mandatory Skills 46 years of experience as a .NET Full Stack Developer in product or enterprise application development. Strong proficiency in C# and/or VB.NET with .NET Core (6.0 or higher). Proven experience in system design, including both HLD (e.g., architecture diagrams, component interactions) and LLD (e.g., class structures, data flows). Familiarity with RESTful APIs, service authentication, and data handling via JSON/XML. Experience with SQL Server, Entity Framework, and ORM-based data access. Solid understanding of Git and code branching strategies. Expertise in JavaScript/ExtendScript (optional), with hands-on experience scripting Adobe InDesign Server workflows.
