Role Summary

Were seeking a hands-on Full Stack Engineering Lead with deep expertise in the JavaScript ecosystem. Youll own delivery of scalable, high-performance web and mobile applications and lead a small, cross-functional engineering team. This role balances technical execution with leadership, requiring both solid system design chops and the ability to drive team productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Own the architecture and delivery of full stack applications built on modern JS frameworks.
• Translate business and product requirements into scalable systems with clean code and robust APIs.
• Lead tech planning, estimations, and sprint breakdowns with product and design teams.
• Champion code quality, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD best practices.
• Guide team members through reviews, pair programming, and architectural discussions.

Hands-On Development

• Build full stack applications using ReactJS/NextJS (frontend) and NodeJS/Express/NestJS (backend).
• Design and manage relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis/MongoDB) data models.
• Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and integrate third-party services as needed.
• Work with modern dev tooling: Docker, Git, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, etc.
• Deploy and manage services on AWS/GCP/Firebase (Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, etc.)

Team Management & Collaboration

• Manage 35 engineers across frontend and backend verticals.
• Coordinate sprint planning, daily standups, and code delivery via JIRA.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to ensure smooth releases and minimal bugs in production.
• Promote documentation, reusable components, and internal tooling to improve velocity.

Security & Performance

• Enforce secure coding practices, input validation, and session/token management.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, both on frontend and backend.
• Advocate for monitoring, observability, and post-deployment diagnostics.

Must-Have Skills

• 57 years of experience in JavaScript/TypeScript full stack development
• Deep expertise with React (especially NextJS) and Node.js (Express/NestJS), expert at SSG and SSR
• Strong in API design, architecture patterns and data modelling
• Hands-on with Git, Docker, and CI/CD workflows
• Excellent communicator with the ability to interface with product managers, designers, and QA
• Exposure to Agile rituals, backlog grooming, and stakeholder alignment

Good to have experience

• Experience with mobile apps using React Native
• Familiarity with analytics and observability tools (Sentry, Datadog, etc.)
• Experience with component libraries and design systems (Tailwind, Material UI)
• Product ownership mindset- can weigh trade-offs, define MVPs, and align tech with business goals.
• Comfort with real-world system design scaling decisions, async processing, caching, etc.
