Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview: You are sought after to be a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer with over 5 years of hands-on experience in Python/Django, Node.js, React, and AWS. Your main responsibility in this startup position will be to take technical ownership of the product and provide guidance to a small agile team. Your tasks will involve defining the software architecture, supervising implementation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality code. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to rapidly changing priorities, and should have a proven track record of successfully completing end-to-end software projects. Key Responsibilities: - Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small development team, including full-time and part-time front-end and back-end engineers, as well as QA. Establish coding standards and best practices, and conduct regular code reviews. - Architecture & Design: Create scalable system architectures, define technical roadmaps, make critical technology decisions, and guide the evolution of the tech stack (Python/Django, Node.js, React, AWS). - Full-Stack Development: Actively participate in developing both backend and frontend components. Implement new features using Django/Python and Node.js, and construct responsive user interfaces with React. - Ownership & Delivery: Take complete ownership of feature development, starting from requirement gathering and design to deployment and maintenance. Deliver high-quality features rapidly and iteratively, adapting to changing requirements. - Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and QA to ensure timely delivery. Coordinate tasks with part-time team members for smooth integration of work. - Code Quality & DevOps: Uphold high code quality through reviews and automated testing. Manage deployments and infrastructure on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) to ensure reliability and scalability. - Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of learning and improvement. Qualifications: - Experience: Over 5 years of professional software development experience with a strong full-stack background. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and Django for backend development; solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, including React for frontend and Node.js for backend services. - Cloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch) and deploying web applications in the cloud.
