Full Stack Developer

GoPicnic is a travel-tech startup that assists users in discovering, filtering, and booking curated one-day trips effortlessly. The platform incorporates advanced features such as AI chat support, vendor bidding, real-time tracking, and Google Places API reviews to offer a seamless travel experience. We are currently seeking an experienced full stack developer (individual contributor) to construct, optimize, and uphold scalable web solutions for the GoPicnic platform. As a developer, you will be responsible for end-to-end feature development, covering UI to backend integration, to ensure a user-friendly experience for travelers, vendors, and administrators. Your primary responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and enhancing features on the existing platform using React (TypeScript) for the frontend and Node.js (Express) for the backend. You will also focus on building and optimizing MongoDB (Atlas) schemas and queries for improved performance and scalability. Additionally, implementing pending features like the dynamic package filter sidebar, Google Places API review integration, and real-time vehicle tracking on the admin dashboard will be crucial. Integration of APIs (Google Places, OTP login, AI chatbot systems like Tidio) and efficient management of third-party service usage are essential tasks. Ensuring secure role-based authentication for users, partners, vendors, and administrators will be part of your responsibilities. Moreover, working on UI/UX enhancements such as personalized popups, responsive layouts, and social media integrations will be required. Collaboration with business and design teams to promptly translate requirements into deployable features is a key aspect of the role. Additionally, handling deployment, testing, and bug fixes with minimal supervision is expected.
