As a Senior in EY's General Insurance Actuarial Practice, your role involves developing and implementing solutions within the Insurance service line and collaborating with other service lines. You will work closely with Senior Consultants, Managers, or Senior Managers to deliver projects, provide training to staff members, ensure timely delivery of engagements, and maintain high standards of work quality. Your responsibilities within the actuarial practice include actuarial liability estimation, historical claims data analysis, reserves valuation, loss projection methods knowledge, benchmarking, risk analytics, and staying informed of industry developments. You are encouraged to pursue actuarial exams while developing subject matter expertise and risk analytics skills. To qualify for this role, you must have at least 3 years of experience in the General Insurance industry, proficiency in MS-Office Suite and additional tools like VBA, SAS, R Programming, Python, SQL, SPSS, etc. Strong analytical skills, the ability to multi-task, and a proactive attitude are essential. Experience in handling a small team and progress in actuarial exams are advantageous. Ideally, you possess a strong academic background with a degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or finance, supplemented with a professional qualification. Strong communication skills and overseas exposure, particularly in the US or UK markets, are desirable.
