Frontend Engineering Manager

Role Overview: You will be leading a cross-functional pod while also actively participating in coding tasks. Your responsibilities will include creating and reviewing architecture and design documents, as well as critical PRs. You will be developing and delivering secure and resilient applications on cloud platforms like GCP or AWS. Your role will also involve building UIs, APIs, microservices, and business components to enhance user experiences. Collaboration with Product, Business, and Enablement teams will be essential to align technical decisions with customer value. Additionally, you will engage with clients to gather feedback, address support issues, and drive continuous improvement in processes. As a senior engineering leader, you will be expected to foster a culture of ownership, inclusivity, and ongoing learning within the team. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a cross-functional pod and guide the team by example - Design and review architecture, design documents, and critical PRs - Ship cloud-native software on platforms like GCP or AWS - Develop UIs, APIs, microservices, and business components - Collaborate with Product, Business, and Enablement teams - Interact with clients to gather feedback and drive rapid fixes - Establish processes for code quality, automation, and continuous improvement - Coach and grow the team by fostering a culture of ownership and inclusivity Qualifications Required: - 12-16 years of professional software design and development experience - Proficiency in React (or its ecosystem) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript for front-end development - Proficiency in at least one additional language such as Elixir, Go, Java, Python, Ruby, or .NET - Strong system-design skills with a focus on patterns, resilience, and clarity - Experience in shipping performant, cloud-native products at scale (knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD is a plus) - User-centric mindset with strong interface design instincts - Proven ability in inclusive leadership and client engagement - Excellent communication skills to articulate trade-offs, influence stakeholders, and inspire action,
