Front-End Developer

You are a passionate and skilled Front-End Developer joining our Engineering Team in Engineering Excellence & Productivity (EXP), Corporate Technology (CT). Your role as a senior-level developer is pivotal in building and enhancing our internal developer portal, focusing on delivering exceptional user experiences for our development community. Your expertise in ReactJS and TypeScript will be utilized to create intuitive and engaging interfaces. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining user-facing features using ReactJS and TypeScript, collaborating closely with UI/UX designers to implement responsive and visually appealing interfaces, participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle, optimizing applications for speed and scalability, ensuring technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, conducting code reviews, writing unit tests, debugging applications, and staying updated with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends. Additionally, you will create and maintain user documentation. Essential skills for this role include professional experience in front-end development, proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, ReactJS, and TypeScript, a strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web standards, experience integrating front-end with backend services via RESTful APIs, familiarity with version control systems like Git, ability to write clean and efficient code, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and effective collaboration with multi-functional teams. Preferred skills and experience include knowledge of UI/UX design principles, proficiency with design tools such as Figma, familiarity with front-end testing frameworks like Jest and Enzyme, understanding of performance optimization techniques for web applications, knowledge of accessibility standards, experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira and Asana, and familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices. Nice to have skills include experience with UX design and user research methodologies, understanding of security principles, familiarity with Backstage.io, knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, and understanding of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
