About the Role We are looking for a ThingsBoard Developer to design, implement, and optimize IoT solutions using the ThingsBoard platform. You will work on device connectivity, data visualization, and rule chain automation for industrial/enterprise IoT applications . Role & responsibilities Device & Data Management : Configure and manage device provisioning (MQTT/CoAP/HTTP) in ThingsBoard. Implement telemetry data collection and storage (PostgreSQL/Cassandra). Customize device profiles and asset hierarchies . Rule Chains & Automation : Design rule chains for data processing, alerts, and integrations (e.g., Kafka, REST APIs). Develop custom scripts (JavaScript/Python) for complex event processing. Dashboard & Visualization : Build interactive dashboards with widgets for real-time monitoring. Configure alarms (email/SMS/Slack) and user access controls. Performance Optimization : Scale ThingsBoard for high-throughput deployments (10K+ devices). Troubleshoot latency issues in message processing or database queries . Integration & Security : Integrate with third-party systems (ERP, CRM) via REST API or plugins . Implement security policies (X.509 certificates, OAuth2). Preferred candidate profile Must-Have : 2+ years of hands-on experience with ThingsBoard (Open Source or Enterprise Edition). Proficiency in IoT protocols : MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, LwM2M. Strong knowledge of rule chains , data visualization , and alarm systems . Experience with PostgreSQL/Cassandra for data storage. Scripting skills: JavaScript (for ThingsBoard rules) or Python . Nice-to-Have : Familiarity with AWS IoT Core (comparative experience). Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes for deployment. Experience with industrial protocols (OPC-UA, Modbus). Education & Certifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Electronics/IoT or equivalent. Certifications like ThingsBoard Professional (optional but preferred).
