Job Title: Skilled Technician – Welding, Fabrication, and Machining

Location: Jharmajri, Baddi HP

Qualification: ITI / Diploma / Technical Graduate (Mechanical, Production, Fabrication, or related fields)

Industry: Forging, Auto Manufacturing, or Metal Fabrication

Job Roles & Responsibilities.

1. TIG / MIG Welder

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Prepare materials and surfaces for welding, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
• Conduct quality checks to identify welding defects and rectify as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

2. Fitter

• Assemble mechanical components and systems based on technical drawings.
• Fit and install machine parts with precision, using hand and power tools.
• Conduct alignment and leveling of machines and equipment.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies.
• Ensure tolerance levels as per specification and use measuring instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, etc.

3. Laser Cutting Operator

• Operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut sheet metal as per design.
• Load materials, set machine parameters, and monitor operations.
• Maintain cutting machine tools and ensure accurate and burr-free cutting.
• Ensure optimum material utilization and reduce wastage.

4. Bending Machine Operator

• Operate hydraulic and CNC press brake machines to bend metal parts.
• Read and interpret job orders and engineering drawings.
• Perform machine setups and adjustments for multiple bending angles and materials.
• Inspect finished components for dimensions and quality.

5. Powder Coating Technician

• Prepare parts for powder coating including cleaning, masking, and pre-treatment.
• Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray gun and cure in ovens.
• Maintain equipment and ensure consistent coating thickness and finish.
• Monitor and control process parameters to ensure quality finish.

6. Hammering / Forging Technician

• Operate power hammers, hydraulic presses, and forging machines.
• Work with hot and cold metal processes, shaping metal parts as per specifications.
• Follow safety measures for handling heated metals and forging tools.
• Inspect forged components for defects and perform rework if necessary.

Additional Skill Preferences

Candidates having hands-on experience with the following will be given priority:

• CNC Machines: Setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC milling or turning machines.
• VNC Machines: Understanding of Vertical Numerical Control machinery operations.
• Lathe Machine Operation: Manual and automatic lathe handling, precision turning.
• Bending Machines: Hydraulic/CNC sheet metal bending operations.
• Fabrication & Assembly Work in auto or heavy metal industries.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance and troubleshooting of shop floor equipment.

Key Requirements

• Experience: 1–8 years of relevant experience in auto manufacturing, forging, or sheet metal industry.
• Knowledge of Tools & Safety: Use of hand tools, measuring instruments, safety gear, and best practices.
