• Validate physician's medical records and charge data for compliance with billing regulations.
• Communicate with physicians to confirm and update charges. • Assign accurate diagnostic and CPT codes according to ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding standards. • Annually review the coding database, re-file insurance claims, and verify insurance coverage. • Examine and resolve insurance denials, identifying root causes and providing solutions. • Consult with physicians regarding coding issues, adjustments, or reimbursements. • Submit claims with proper documentation and ensure coding accuracy for timely and correct insurance reimbursements.
