Freelance Safety Officer - Steel Construction

We are seeking a Safety Officer who will be responsible for identifying and assessing hazards, risks, and control measures specific to operations or processes. Your duties will include conducting regular reviews to identify potential hazards, risks, and control measures to mitigate risks and determining the associated costs. You will also be required to assess and document hazards, risks, and controls according to established procedures. In this role, you will be tasked with setting up and overseeing temporary work areas, supervising the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials, and monitoring the operation of any potential hazards in the workplace. Furthermore, you will play a key role in enhancing workplace safety and employee productivity by transitioning from manual safety procedures to digital safety management systems. As a Safety Officer, you will ensure that all company employees comply with OSHA requirements and provide OSHA training when necessary. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies. In the event of workplace accidents or injuries, you will conduct investigations and report them to the appropriate authorities.
