We are looking for passionate and dedicated Local Correspondents to join our editorial team in Calicut. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring journalists to contribute to one of the most reputed Malayalam dailies.

Job Location: Calicut

Key Responsibilities:

• Report and write accurate, engaging, and timely news stories from the local region.
• Cover events, press conferences, and community developments with journalistic integrity.
• Build and maintain contacts with sources to gather authentic information.
• Contribute feature articles and special reports as assigned by the editorial team.
• Work closely with the newsroom to ensure consistent and high-quality content delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
• OR proven experience as a journalist, reporter, or correspondent.
• Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills in Malayalam.
• Good understanding of local culture, issues, and community happenings in Calicut.
• Candidates from Calicut will be given preference.
