📢 Job Posting: Freelance Journalist – AutoXperia Magazine (Hyderabad Edition) About AutoXperia: AutoXperia is a premium automotive retail and lifestyle magazine, spotlighting the latest trends in automobiles, accessories, dealers, and future mobility. We are launching our Hyderabad City Edition and are seeking a dynamic freelance journalist to help us build compelling, high-quality content. ✍️ Position: Freelance Journalist (Automotive Focus) Key Responsibilities • Content Creation: • Research trending topics in the automotive industry (growth, dealers, eco-mobility, future mobility, accessories, luxury vehicles). • Draft, edit, and finalize 1 article per week (from concept to proofread, ready-to-print copy). • Ensure content aligns with AutoXperia’s editorial standards and brand voice. • Field Reporting: • Visit client offices, dealerships, and auto accessory stores for interviews and coverage. • Capture high-quality photographs during visits and integrate them seamlessly into articles. • Conduct on-ground reporting of auto events, expos, and launches in Hyderabad. • Editorial Excellence: • Proofread and fact-check all articles before submission. • Collaborate with the management team to refine drafts and meet deadlines. • Maintain accuracy, clarity, and engaging storytelling in every piece. • Industry Engagement: • Build relationships with dealers, accessory brands, and auto clubs for exclusive stories. • Stay updated on eco-mobility, EV adoption, and future mobility trends. • Suggest new editorial angles and feature ideas to keep the magazine fresh and relevant. • Photography & Visuals: • Take professional-quality photographs of dealers, products, and events. • Edit images for publication (basic photo editing skills required). • Work with design/layout teams to ensure visual consistency. • Project Management: • Meet strict timelines: 1 article per week submitted to management. • Maintain an organized workflow for research, interviews, writing, and editing. • Provide weekly progress updates to the editorial team. Qualifications & Skills • Proven experience in journalism, content writing, or editorial work (preferably automotive/lifestyle). • Strong knowledge of the automobile industry: dealers, growth trends, eco-mobility, EVs, and accessories. • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English. • Ability to conduct interviews and synthesize insights into engaging articles. • Photography skills with proficiency in basic editing tools (Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar). • Self-driven, deadline-oriented, and able to work independently. • Based in Hyderabad or willing to travel locally for assignments. Deliverables & Timeline • 1 researched, edited, and proofread article per week (minimum 1,000–1,500 words). • Accompanying photographs and captions for each article. • Submission of final copy to management by the agreed weekly deadline. Compensation • Competitive freelance rates per article (negotiable based on experience and quality). Additional incentives for exclusive stories, dealer interviews, and event coverage.
