FR (Financial Reporting) Team Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Statement Leadership:

• Prepare and review

  annual, semi-annual, and quarterly financial statements

  in accordance with

  GAAP or IFRS

  .

• Lead assigned engagements

  , including planning, budgeting, client relationship management, and delegating tasks to staff.
• Ensure the accuracy of

  footnote disclosures

  in line with all relevant standards by reviewing legal fund documents.
• Coordinate the

  year-end financial statement process

  and present information to clients and external auditors.

• Team Management & Development:

• Provide guidance to team members to help strengthen specific knowledge areas and

  achieve team goals

  .
• Identify errors or problems, investigate independently, and recommend solutions to the team or managers.
• Attend meetings and training to enhance your knowledge and pass it on to junior staff.

• Business & Client Relations:

• Recognize and communicate potential opportunities for new clients and service enhancements for existing ones.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports for clients upon request and assist with preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs) for prospective clients.
• Troubleshoot Fund Accounting issues and contribute to researching and communicating recent authoritative pronouncements globally.

About You

• Experience:

  Previous experience in

  Financial Statement review and/or preparation

  .

• Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of

  U.S. GAAP and IFRS

  , particularly pronouncements related to the alternative funds industry.
• Advanced knowledge of

  complex derivatives

  .
• Proficient in

  Microsoft Office

  products such as Excel and Word.
• Proficient in navigating

  Bloomberg

  .

• Education & Certifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

• CPA, CA

  , or other professional designation is preferred.

• Attributes:

• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Team-oriented with the ability to travel as necessary.
