FP&A Project Controller

As a Financial Analyst at Hitachi Energy, your role involves analyzing the business performance against budget and forecast, benchmarking key performance indicators, and partnering with Local controllers to understand financial drivers. You will prepare financial analysis for various scenarios, analyze product/customer profitability, track capital expenditure, inventories, NWC, and cash flow. Additionally, you will support month-end closure activities, review P&L and B/S, analyze data for MIS reporting, ensure internal controls, and support SOX audit. Key Responsibilities: - Perform analysis of business performance versus budget and forecast - Benchmark key performance indicators with external and internal peers - Partner with Local controllers to analyze financial performance drivers - Prepare financial analysis for what-if scenarios and sensitivity analysis - Analyze overhead under/over absorption to identify root causes - Analyze product/customer profitability - Track and analyze capital expenditure budget and actual spending - Analyze inventories, NWC, and cash flow - Support month-end closure activities - Review P&L and B/S for necessary corrections - Analyze monthly data for MIS reporting - Support internal controls and SOX audit - Compare MIS data with benchmarks and provide comments - Support preparation of financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting - Validate accuracy of financial data and reports - Perform ad hoc assignments as needed - Provide information to management through data assembly, summarization, and reporting Knowledge and Skills: - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - Effective communication and presentation skills - Hands-on experience in SAP FICO with CO-PA knowledge - Proficiency in MS Office tools - Initiative-taking with a commitment to quality and deadlines Experience: - Up to 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, preferably in a manufacturing background Education: - Bachelor's degree in accounting with CMA/CA/MBA Hitachi Energy is a global technology leader in electrification, focusing on innovative power grid technologies.
