**Job Description:** **Role Overview:** As a formulation development lead for derma OTC products, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the development of dermatological OTC products across various international markets. This role involves managing the end-to-end formulation activities, from new product development to enhancing existing products, ensuring they meet target product profiles, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing constraints. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead formulation development for derma OTC products, from concept creation to commercial scale-up, ensuring robust formulations that align with target product profiles and regulatory standards. - Design and conduct stability studies to optimize existing formulations while partnering with packaging development to ensure product-packaging compatibility. - Benchmark formulations against successful reference products in international markets to maintain competitive edge and global quality standards. - Provide scientific expertise on active ingredients, excipients, and delivery systems, staying updated on emerging technologies in dermatological OTC products. - Manage multiple development projects concurrently, identify and mitigate technical risks, and supervise and mentor formulation executives for continuous improvement. - Lead technology transfer of new formulations to manufacturing sites, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and develop standard operating procedures for formulation processes. **Qualifications:** - **Education & Experience:** - Master's or PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 10 years of hands-on experience in formulation development. - Proven expertise in developing OTC products in alignment with regulatory standards for various markets. - **Technical Expertise:** - In-depth knowledge of dermatological product formulations and excipient functionality. - Familiarity with OTC monographs, regulatory requirements, and formulation design software. - **Leadership & Strategic Skills:** - Strong project management abilities, problem-solving skills, and team leadership experience.
