for Country In-charge role

TCI, a leading Indian logistics company is looking for an in charge for TCI Bangladesh (a subsidiary of TCI India) operations and work in Freight Forwarding and logistics for East & North-Eastern regions of India.

Location

Responsibility:

1)     Handling Freight Forwarding Business from Kolkata office.

2)     Handle Bangladesh Business as well (Chittagong) (Monthly travel to Bangladesh expected).

3)     Handle Cross Border Transportation.

4)     Experienced in Road, Sea, Air and Rail Exports

Candidate must have

1.     At least 10-15 years’ experience of NVOCC / International Freight Forwarding, customs, operations.

2.     Client development experience is a must.

3.     The candidate should have traveled well for business.

4.     Postgraduate in any stream having excellent communication skills both written and oral in English and Bengali. Bengali is a must.

Trade experience as

NVOCC/FF Operations

a.     Person must aware about total operational activity of container in and out movement at Chittagong port.

b.     Well aware about manifestation process in port and customs.

c.      Know how to manifestation and smooth operation for handling Tank container and special equipment in Port.

d.     Candidate must also possess good knowledge of Port/Customs and other official requirement in order to handle container in port.

e.     Having well aware about all compliances of port and customs

f.       Having basic idea of handling of ISO Tank/GP containers in Chittagong port for In & Out movement.

g.     Must aware about procedure to get permission for discharge & load of Dangerous Good (DG) container

h.     Having good contacts and liaison with shipping Lines.

i.       Maintain MIS, DSR & ECR on daily, weekly and monthly basis.

j.       Must have ability to understand and draw SOP of NVOCC operation and Freight Forwarding Operation in Chittagong Port.

Freight Forwarding Operation and Sales

a.     Must have basic knowledge of International freight forwarding, Operation, Documentation and Business development.

b.     Must have ability to speak and appear before port, customs, other officials and as well as to customer.

c.      Well aware about trade movement to/from Chittagong port, may update to corporate / BD team time to time.

d.     Having good rapport with shipping lines in order to procure the freight rate for forwarding business as and when require

e.     Having through knowledge of Bill of lading, types of B/Ls and their implications.

f.       Having ability to consolidate and collect the potential customer list from different local sources for further business development.

g.     Must have basic knowledge documentation of  container shipping and freight forwarding booth in & out bound
