Job Title: ISO Tank Container Repair & Testing Technician Location: [Kandla] Years of experience: - minimum 5 years of experience. Job Summary: The ISO Tank Container Repair & Testing Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, testing, and maintaining ISO tank containers in accordance with international standards and company procedures. This role ensures that all containers are safe, compliant, and ready for use in transporting hazardous and non-hazardous liquids. Key Responsibilities: Inspection & Diagnosis: Conduct visual and detailed inspections of ISO tanks, including shell, frame, valves, gaskets, and insulation. Identify wear, corrosion, damage, or defects requiring repair or replacement. Document findings and complete inspection reports. Repairs: Perform mechanical repairs including welding, grinding, and metal fabrication. Replace or repair damaged components such as manlids, valves, gaskets, steam coils, and safety fittings. Ensure proper alignment and functionality of fittings and accessories. Testing: Perform periodic testing including: Hydraulic (pressure) testing Pneumatic leak testing Steam and heat coil testing Vacuum and insulation performance checks Ensure testing complies with applicable regulations (e.g., IMDG, ADR, CSC, ASME, ISO, and local laws). Maintenance & Cleaning: Coordinate or perform tank cleaning (internal/external) as part of repair or testing. Conduct preventive maintenance procedures to avoid unnecessary breakdowns. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all repair and testing work adheres to ISO standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements. Maintain detailed records of repairs, tests, and certifications. Follow strict safety procedures, including PPE usage and confined space entry protocols. Qualifications: High school diploma or technical trade certificate required. 2+ years of experience in tank container maintenance, pressure vessel repair, or related field. Certification in welding (TIG/MIG) is an advantage. Familiarity with ISO tank standards and codes (e.g., ISO 1496, IMDG, CSC). Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and test procedures. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting. Skills: Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Knowledge of pressure testing procedures and safety regulations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in physically demanding and sometimes hazardous environments. Working Conditions: Work is performed in a workshop, depot, or field environment. Exposure to chemicals, high-pressure equipment, noise, and confined spaces. May require working overtime, weekends, or on-call depending on operational needs.

Having good rapport with shipping lines in order to procure the freight rate for forwarding business as and when require e. Having through knowledge of Bill of lading, types of B/Ls and their implications. f. Having ability to consolidate and collect the potential customer list from different local sources for further business development. g.
